University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari agreed to a contract extension worth $36.5 million over the next eight years, the school announced Monday Morning.

“What John Calipari has done on and off the court in the past two years to reunite and rejuvenate this fan base has been magical,” said UK athletic director Mitch Barnhart in a statement. “He understands the responsibility that goes along with this position and there is no other coach out there that is a better fit for the best basketball program in the country.”

Calipari stands to make even more through the incentives and bonuses in the contract. He stands to receive $1 million retention bonuses in six of the eight years.

Calipari is 64-12 in two seasons with the Wildcats.

John Calipari has invited all former Kentucky players back to campus during the lockout to use their facilities and even reenroll in classes if they are interested.

John Wall will be taking him up on his offer, tweeting that he “can’t wait to get back to Kentucky this summer.”

Ma finchè fa le cose secondo le regole va benissimo.
Il recruit di quest'anno è veramente tanta roba, paragonabile a quello che due anni fa portò i vari Cousins, Wall, Bledsoe...

L'altra invece è una gran bella iniziativa.
So che suona strano da parte mia, ma come ho detto prima, finchè fa a modo perchè dargli contro?

Il recruiting di Kentucky è sempre molto importante, anche quello dell'anno appena tracorso è passato un pò sottotraccia ma alla fine ha fatto final four, con una squadra ben amalgamata...

P.S. ma a quando il nuovo topic, magari in primo piano? Finora è questo il campionato che di sicuro si terrà... :fischia:

Bella presa a mio modo di vedere, Pullen ha il gioco adattissimo per i campionati di medio livello come fa sempre Biella.
Una cosa importante, ha palle da vendere ma è un ragazzo tranquillissimo.
